"To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter; to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird's nest or a wildflower in spring - these are some of the rewards of the simple life." ~John Burroughs
WHOA! Triplets!? Congratulations! In all our years of goat keeping, we never had triplets . . . lots and lots of twins, of course, but none of our girls managed three at a time.
Thanks, Mama Pea!! We suspected twins but not triplets! We're a little worried about one -- he seems weaker than the other two but Mama Lucy is still attentive to all three. We've been feeding him and I just watched him nursing so hopefully he'll perk up today. The kids are actually away -- they don't even know the babies are here! Even we missed the birth! We checked her at 8:30 pm (we'd just moved her into the single pen last night) and by 12:30 am, babies were here. We didn't even know she was in labour! I'll write more about it when I'm not so punch drunk tired :)
Wow, they are so cute! I remember lambing in dead winter in MN, twins & triplets...it didn't even matter it was cold as heck out, they were so CUTE! Now you have your hands full! Get handsome Henry out there to babysit!
Congratulations!! They are so sweet - what a great surprise! And what an incredible new experience at Rowangarth :) I hope they all thrive and are healthy and I will look forward to hearing the names (I'm assuming that will require some family voting and negotiations).

Did the kids get to see the birth?

Congratulations! The triplets are adorable :-) I hope the little guy pulls through and doesn't have any problems.
