What do you do if your pond is frozen over and it's -30 degrees Celsius out? Take a paddle in the horse's heated water bucket, of course.
It's hot tubbing, duck style!
To all of you who have left comments over the last few months or sent emails checking in to make sure we're ok (no, the giant mushroom didn't do us all in!): thank you. You rock my world...

So good to have word from you! Yes, we're having a good old-fashioned winter with enough snow (for a change) and are in a cold snap right now, too.
Leave it to animals to find pleasure where they can. We should perhaps maybe be more like them.
Hoping you find the time soon for more posts. Think of you often.
Thanks, Mama Pea. I do miss you all...
Yay, welcome back, Fiona!!
She's back! Love the duckie hot tub, hope things are going well for you this winter! Will you have time for gardening this spring & summer, I know you are a busy gal these days!
Hi, Amy!
Erin -- Will I have time to garden? I am PINING for my garden!! Winter is great for downtime (i.e. knitting time!) but I am so looking forward to digging in the dirt again!
Yes, I'm a busy gal -- too busy. Blame work stuff. I'm trying to get a handle on that... maybe a future blog post there.
It's good to see you back online again. I know how life can certainly get busy and decisions have to be made on how we spend our time.
I too am getting a little antsy for the snow to melt away and the weather to warm up so I can get outside and start working on some outside projects and of course plant the garden.
I hope to hear from you again soon.
Have a great day.
No, no: YOU rock MY world! Please try to come back . . . I MISS YOU!!!
Ah, work stuff does make it hard to keep writing - I know that feeling well! Your duck has the right idea, i'd say... great pic.
Keep dreaming of dirt, it's under there somewhere!
