Apologies and an explanation

Hi, folks:

Just a quick note to let you know that we haven't been overrun or consumed by rose chafers. Life just got really busy since my last post on June 22.

The kids have been home for summer holidays, we've been dealing with a lot more predator issues this year (deer and foxes and bears, oh my!) and I got another job (in addition to the one(s) I already have). I also took a 10-day solo trip out to the east coast for some exploring, soul searching and recharging.

The kids go back to school next week and I'll start writing again then. In the meantime, I thought I'd share a few photos of the goodness that's been growing on the farm lately.

A few times I almost left a comment on your June post asking if all was well. But I didn't want you to feel obligated to post and figured you were super busy with the farm, etc. Never imagined bears!!! Oh MY indeed-do tell when you have time.
Good to read you also got some time to yourself to recharge!
Your tomatoes look heavenly. All of it does, but I'm a tomato girl!
Welcome back!

Glad to see you haven't been eaten by Bears (!!!) Fiona.

Hope you've recharged and resettled too.

I'm a tomato man, Meggs, let's make Ketchup together!

It figures. Just when I stop following Rowangarth Farm you come back. Okay, just so I don't look like a total idiot I'm bookmarking you first, then I'll follow you again later. Glad to have you back! Know that we all missed you and while we can't know all that your soul searching revealed, our hearts go out to you in sympathy.

Hi Fiona

Last time I wrote to your blog was way back in December 2008 - the prairie chickadee who moved to Ottawa looking for country land but had to stay around Ottawa because of proximity to CHEO.
So glad to see all is well.

You are an inspiration to this farmgirlwanabe

I am not blog literate - I noticed that when we have the option to comment to you we can pick difference 'identities' - I always choose Anonymous because I don't know what the others are - but I noticed some of the people that comment to you have 'id names'

Any advice on how I can officially call myself a tag versus always being Anonymous (I used to be web literate but somehow fell behind these past 5 years - I feel old...)

:)
